Come Spend 5 Days with Non-Conformists...In
every century since 386 AD until today, there have been believers
outside the institutional church. Christians today do not know such
believers exist, and certainly have never met such followers of Christ -
nor spent a week with them! Never before have those inside the institutional church been invited to a gathering by those outside.
In the twentieth century there were four men who stood up, left the institutional church, and gave their lives to an alternative expression of the church. They were Watchman Nee of China, Bakht Singh of India, Austin-Sparks of England, and Prem Pradhan of Nepal.
Today these men are all dead. Nonetheless, there are a few other such men still alive. All are in their late 70's. (Think them not old.)
Dr. T.E. Koshy of India was a co-worker of Bakht Singh who founded over 6,000 churches. Today Koshy, who carries on Singh's work, speaks to gatherings of 20,000 or more in India.
Gene Edwards of America, launched the house church movement in this country. Edwards has spent over 50 years working with home churches.
The reason for this gathering - There will be other such men who rise up in Century Twenty-One. To pass on a legacy to those who will come is the purpose of this gathering.
Should you come to such a gathering? You already know the answer. Wild horses could not keep you from coming, or wild horses could not drag you there.
Keep in mind, it is unlikely there will ever be anther such gathering...ever.
What awaits you is meeting a mind-set that is different - unique and creative. What will you hear? Things practical, things spiritual! The subject? The same subject as non-conformists of the last 1,500 years: Christ and the church.
